What You’ll Do

Ensure successful daily theater operations

  • Provide exceptional customer service that is friendly, helpful and fast
  • Maintain exceptional facilities that are clean, safe and in good repair

  • Serve fresh, appetizing and properly prepared food and beverages
  • Maintain cash handling procedures

Bar Manager - Lititz, PA

Location: Penn Cinema – Lititz, PA
Status: Full-Time
Starting Wage: Starting at $24/hour
Job Level: 2+ years of bar/restaurant experience
Age: 21+

Penn Cinema is seeking an experienced Bar and Promotions Manager to join our Theater Operations team this October. In this role, you will help launch our beverage program, lead our bar operations, and spearhead related promotional activities. This role combines a passion for hospitality with a creative flair, ensuring our bar is not just a place for drinks, but a vibrant hub that creates memorable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Bar Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the bar, ensuring a smooth and efficient service that meets the highest standards.
  • Prepare and serve drinks providing amazing customer service.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure the bar is well-stocked with quality products.
  • Develop and implement drink menus that cater to our target audience, including local offerings, seasonal specials and signature movie- themed cocktails.
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise bar staff, fostering a positive work environment, consistent with the culture of Penn Cinema.
  • Monitor bar performance, including sales, expenses, and guest satisfaction, and make data-driven decisions to improve profitability.
  • Oversee regular cleaning and maintenance to ensure all bar related areas and equipment/systems are in good working order and meet Penn Cinema's high standard for cleanliness.

Promotions and Marketing:

  • Create and execute innovative promotions and events to attract guests, increase foot traffic, and boost sales.
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to develop promotional materials, social media campaigns, and email newsletters that highlight bar specials, events, and unique offerings.
  • Build partnerships with local businesses, influencers, and event organizers to increase brand visibility and attract new patrons.
  • Analyze market trends and guest feedback to continuously refine promotional strategies, and ensure they align with guest interests and business goals.
  • Coordinate special events such as live music, themed nights, and private parties, ensuring they run smoothly and exceed guest expectations.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for the bar and promotions, ensuring cost-effective operations and maximum return on investment.
  • Track sales performance, analyze financial reports, and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal regulations, including health and safety standards, Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, and company policies.

Theater Operations

  • Within this role, you will assist in the total theater operation including concession/kitchen, projection, janitorial, and general customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bar/Restaurant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of bar operations, inventory management, and customer service best practices.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for developing unique promotions and events.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating a team.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in budgeting, financial analysis, and inventory control.
  • Familiarity with marketing and social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
